The role of Sales Person in Harvey Norman is to maximise sales and profit by meeting the needs of the customer.
A successful salesperson has excellent product knowledge, provides outstanding customer service, creates a great shopping experience for the customer, and is dedicated to the craft of selling.
You will be responsible for:
- Maximising sales and profitability by understanding each customer's needs and utilising our best-in-class sales training.
- Communicating with influence and providing excellent customer service.
- Being optimistic and resilient, with a positive attitude and outlook on life, work, and self.
- Setting an example by being supportive of the whole team, striving to get things right, and being solution-focused.
- Being customer-obsessed, keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do, and going the extra mile to exceed expectations.
Requirements:
- Leaving cert or equivalent.
- 1-3 years experience dealing face-to-face with the public in a customer service role, hospitality, tourism or retail role.
- Energetic, self-motivated and persistent, with a strong background in sales or customer-facing roles.
- Industry and product knowledge in any of the categories sold by Harvey Norman is preferred.
This is a full-time position with an 11-month fixed-term contract, with a potential for permanency.
We need employees to be flexible about when they work, covering store opening hours, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
