The Role As a key member of the sales admin team, reporting to the Sales Manager, your primary focus will be to support customer activities and perform specific sales tasks related to our product and service portfolio. - You'll be the face of our business, often serving as the first point of contact for both prospects and customers. - Your role involves proactively responding to customer inquiries across various channels such as phone, email, and others. Depending on the situation, you will either address the inquiry directly or forward it to the external sales team or Customer Technical Support Team. Key Responsibilities - Generate new business by responding to inbound opportunities in a timely and proactive manner. - Conduct outbound efforts to qualify customers, build early-stage pipeline, and create new leads. - Follow up with leads based on management feedback or customer order history. - Provide weekly updates on sales activities and customer interactions using CRM tools and data. - Act as a key CRM user to enhance customer engagement and streamline sales activities. - Collaborate closely with external sales personnel to ensure smooth transitions of opportunities. - Leverage data to maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). - Work with the Sales Manager, External Sales, and Customer Technical Support teams to execute sales strategies and achieve growth objectives. - Conduct market research to enrich sales campaigns and support overall sales efforts. - Prepare sales reports as needed, including customer contact reports, strategic plans, and competitor insights. - Assist in processing sales orders and invoicing activities. - Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by the Sales Manager. Requirements - A degree or equivalent experience in a related business field. - A calm, patient demeanor with the ability to listen attentively to customers, ask strategic questions, and direct them to the right resources. - At least 2 years of experience in inside sales or customer-facing sales roles, with a focus on B2B environments, particularly in the industrial automation sector. - A proactive hunter mentality, comfortable with office-based sales activities such as cold calling, emails, and social selling. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on active listening. - Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, unafraid of targets and KPIs. - Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard of computer literacy, including ERP, CRM, and Microsoft applications. - Experience in the industrial automation field, serving sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Bio-Pharma, MedTech, Food & Beverage, and General Manufacturing in Ireland. - Familiarity with SAP-based ERP and CRM systems. - Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Power BI and Excel. - Relevant qualifications or professional development in sales or business administration, with background knowledge or qualifications in automation, electrical engineering, or instrumentation.
