Job Description

Purpose of Position: Responsible for promoting NCI programmes to second level school and Further Education institutions. This role is a full-time role but strong applicants who are available to work a term-time arrangement from September to end May will also be considered. The role will involve a range of promotional activity to prospective students from second level schools, post leaving certificate and institutes of Further Education. A key part of the role will be visiting schools and colleges and presenting to students on the programmes that NCI offer, in particular full-time undergraduate programmes recruited through the CAO process. The role will involve extensive local travel to schools during the school terms. Reporting to: Director of Marketing and International Development Key Relationships: Director of Marketing and International Development Admissions Officer. Career Guidance Counsellors / School Principals. Car eer Guidance Representative Bodies. Deans of Schools. Key Responsibilities: The planning, arrangement, and delivery of presentations about the college to Schools, PLC's and other institutes. This will include visits out to schools and NCI campus visits by schools. A key responsibility will be to develop and manage a close relationship with Career Guidance Counsellors within the target schools for NCI. Manage the relationship building approach to key schools and contacts. Marketing and promotion of NCI undergraduate programmes to key market segments at exhibitions and fairs throughout Ireland. Maintain a database of contacts for guidance counsellors and schools. Implement a range of promotional activities to increase the number of current full and part- time NCI students progressing to an additional NCI programme. Additional marketing and administration tasks as required. There will be some evening and weekend work to facilitate attendance at school career evenings, education fairs etc. Key Attributes: Excellent verbal presentation skills. Articulate, professional objective with good relationship building skills. Highly organised with good time-management. Initiative & ability to work without close supervision. Strong desire to achieve and succeed. Full clean driving licence. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
