Job Description

Overview: Our client, a leading financial services institution, is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to join their team on a daily rate contract. This is a hybrid role, offering the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site in Dublin. As the PMO Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects by providing governance, oversight, and strategic guidance across the project portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Lead the establishment and management of the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and objectives. Oversee the development and implementation of project governance frameworks, tools, and methodologies to drive consistency and high standards in project execution. Ensure clear and effective communication between project teams and senior stakeholders, providing transparency on project performance, risks, and opportunities. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes, ensuring they are scalable and fit-for-purpose. Manage the overall project portfolio, tracking progress, timelines, and budgets while mitigating risks and resolving issues. Support project managers with guidance on best practices, resource allocation, and issue resolution. Collaborate with senior leaders to prioritize projects and ensure that resource requirements are met. Monitor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring projects are delivered in line with industry standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a PMO Lead, with a strong background in financial services or related sectors. Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and governance frameworks. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders. Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent. Relevant qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certifications would be advantageous.
