Role Profile We are recruiting forSeasonal General Operators at our well established Ingredients production facility in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny. The Seasonal General Operator will work as a part of the Operations team, reporting to the Area Production Manager. This is a seasonal role and therefore, a high level of flexibility is required.The Seasonal General Operator will be assigned to day, evening or night shifts depending on operational requirements. The Ballyragget season is dependent on milk volumes and can run until mid November. Responsibilities The Seasonal General Operator will be responsible for all aspects of plant performance, product quality and plant hygiene, and they will perform general operational duties across our various production plants to the highest safety standards. The role responsibilities will include: Operation of plant and equipment relating to the powder packing & palletisation processes. Sampling of product stream. Monitoring & controlling of plant performance indicators to ensure consistent production of high quality product. Maintaining general housekeeping in the production area. Forklift duties as appropriate including loading and unloading containers. Maintain standards in the plant relating to hygiene, throughput, quality, energy efficiency and losses. Adherence to general GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and hygiene standards and maintain work area in a clean and tidy condition. Various ad hoc duties as assigned by your manager including, but not limited to, cleaning, reworking of bag off, etc. Requirements Familiarity with manufacturing processes Good technical ability to understand plant and processes Candidate must be available from early February until the end of the season Ability to learn quickly, to be innovative and show initiative Flexibility and motivation to seek improvements on a continuous basis Good communication skills Computer literate with an aptitude for understanding and applying technical data and information in line with plant performance and efficiency Team-working and cooperation with other members of the plant team to ensure efficient operations Closing date for applications: Fri 8th November 2024 Join our Talent Pool Considering a new career in Tirln but this isnt the role for you?!
