Job Description

As a seasoned Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you will play a critical role in delivering software solutions that prevent misuse and malicious behavior, while collaborating with a team to design, develop, and troubleshoot critical technology solutions. Your expertise in security engineering, Python, and agile methodologies will be essential in creating secure and high-quality production code, and identifying and mitigating cyber security threats. You will work closely with development, quality assurance, and production support teams to ensure continuity and compliance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development life cycles, architecture, and design, as well as experience with cloud technologies, including AWS. This role requires a strong passion for security and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a collaborative and inclusive team environment. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the firm's business objectives and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including the development of a firmwide scanning system. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems, creating interfaces with other services, and engaging in application performance tuning. You will also be responsible for providing level 4 support for a portfolio of static scanning tooling, working with vendors to isolate and resolve problems, and presenting static scanning tools to technology teams. In addition, you will be responsible for packaging and supporting releases of vendor tools, working with vendors in problem isolation and resolution, and ensuring project audit compliance for every release. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security engineering, Python, and agile methodologies, as well as experience with cloud technologies, including AWS. The candidate will also have a strong passion for security and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Key Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and troubleshoots critical technology solutions with a focus on security and compliance
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Develops enhancements to the firmwide scanning system and creates interfaces with other services as needed
Engages in application performance tuning and provides level 4 support for a portfolio of static scanning tooling
Works with vendors to isolate and resolve problems and presents static scanning tools to technology teams
Packages and supports releases of vendor tools and ensures project audit compliance for every release



Requirements:
Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and proficient applied experience
Experience developing security engineering solutions with Python
Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
Proficient in multiple modern programming languages, including Python
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security



Preferred qualifications:
Cloud technologies, including AWS
Enterprise Level software development and web development
