Desired skills:Cloud Security, Application Security, Vulnerability Management, ProgrammingWe're seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our client in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a role in ensuring the security of applications and software systems.You will be responsible for assessing and mitigating security risks in our client's applications. This will involve conducting security code reviews, implementing security best practices and collaborating with development teams to enhance their application security posture. You will perform vulnerability assessments, recommend remediation actions, and ensure compliance with industry best practices & standards.The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of secure coding practices, application vulnerabilities, and security assessment tools.Hybrid model (3 days per week in office).Responsibilities:Conduct security assessmentsPerform static code analysis, dynamic application testing & manual code reviewsIdentify and prioritise application vulnerabilitiesCollaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified vulnerabilitiesDevelop and implement vulnerability management processes and proceduresReview application codeProvide guidance and recommendations to development teams on secure coding techniques, libraries, and frameworksCollaborate with software architects and development teams to embed security controls and mechanisms into application designsParticipate in the design and implementation of secure software architecturesDevelop and implement automated security testing tools and frameworks Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanningContribute to the development and delivery of security awareness and training programsAssist in incident response activities Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate and analyse security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and recommend improvementsEnsure compliance with security standards (OWASP, PCI DSS, GDPR etc.)Participate in security audits and assessmentsRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security etc.Knowledge of application security principles, secure coding practices, and common vulnerabilitiesExperience with application security assessment toolsExperience performing security code reviews and manual application penetration testingUnderstanding of secure SDLC methodologiesKnowledge of secure coding practices for web and mobile applicationsUnderstanding of cloud security concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure etc.)Excellent leadership and delegation skillsExcellent communication skills at levels up to Director and C Suite Reperio Human Capital acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business.
