Trinity College Dublin- an introduction Post Summary The Security Services is responsible for the management and delivery of security services that support the core business of the University. These services will include general security services, managing security systems and liaison with the emergency services. The Security Officer will report to the Superintendent as their shift Supervisor and their line manager is the Security Operations Manager. The Security Services team provide the service across the estate. The Universitys estate is geographically scattered, currently comprising of but not limited to the main campus site in the City Centre and various peripheral sites including Santry, Iveagh Grounds in Crumlin the Trinity Centre at St. Jamess Hospital, the Boat Club Islandbridge, Trinity East (TTEC) Pearse Street, Trinity Hall student residences and the Botanic Gardens at Dartry. The Security Officer will be required to work at any or all of the Universitys sites. Please note that Garda vetting maybe sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for a post. The appointment will be made on a point on the Security 2 Salary Scale in line with Government pay policy. In addition a shift premium of 30% of the basic will be payable together with a security allowance. There Security Officer will work a 39 hour week full-time 3 shift roster which is 5 days over a 7 day period which will include weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Post status: Permanent Hours of Post: 39 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Security 2 Salary Scale (€1,265.31 - €1,433.74 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
