Senior Accountant role in a growing engineering company, responsible for managing and developing the finance function, with opportunities for career progression.
Our client, a successful start-up in the engineering sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for group companies
- Assistance with budgeting, systems development, and tax planning activities across the group
- Balance sheet reconciliations and management of inter-company transactions
- Development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies
- Ongoing review and improvement of Internal Financial Controls
- Management and development of the finance team
- Compliance with Taxation and Statutory obligations
- Management of Year-end Audit and interaction with auditors
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with excellent IT and inter-personal skills
- Pro-active "can do" attitude and comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business
- Working experience within a fast-paced service, construction or engineering environment
