Role: Senior Accountant Location: Dublin City Senior Accountant wanted for Global Insurance Group-Dublin City/Hybrid Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our client, a global non-life insurance group. This role will be pivotal in supporting the finance function for international contracts, providing financial control and analysis across a diverse range of business lines. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of financial reporting within the insurance industry. This is a hybrid role with 50% of the week from home. The role includes excellent pension, bonus, and healthcare allowance Your Role: Review, control, and analyse financial performance for assigned international contracts, preparing detailed analysis and commentary on key drivers. Participate in assessing profitability and managing internal controls for international contracts, ensuring effective risk mitigation actions are in place. Support the onboarding process for new contracts, ensuring all financial systems and processes are set up accurately before commencement. Prepare profit share and underwriting year analysis for key clients, contributing to strategic decision-making. Liaise with internal finance teams and external stakeholders (e.g., brokers, claims handlers) to ensure accurate financial data and reporting. Maintain a transparent audit trail for all financial transactions related to assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards. Your Skills: Qualified accountant with experience in financial reporting, control, and accounts preparation. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to analyse financial data. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage complex data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in stakeholder management. Proactive and able to work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Experience in the insurance/reinsurance sector is highly desirable, along with knowledge of SAP or other financial reporting systems.
