What you need to know Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join our client, a leading agricultural business based in Co. Tipperary. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a growing organisation, while contributing to the financial management and reporting of the business group. Your new job Key duties and responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow analysis. Oversee day-to-day financial operations such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and cash management. Manage payment runs, VAT returns, and monthly bank reconciliations. Process monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments. Support budget and cash flow preparation and ongoing analysis. Preparation of year-end accounts file and liaising with external auditors and external accountants as required. Contribute to the improvement of internal systems and controls. Carry out operational management reporting as required. What are we looking for? A fully qualified accountant with 2 years post-qualification experience. Strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. A knowledge of agriculture is advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team. IT proficient with Sage and Excel experience preferred.
