Operating within the Construction sector, our client has recently experienced a growth in new business tenders and as a result they now require an Accountant to manage the daily finance function alongside the Financial Controller. Role will be responsible for the implementation of robust policies & procedures across the department & management of the small accounts team. Offering significant upward progression, this opportunity is suitable for an ambitious, Newly Qualified Accountant looking to advance their career. Duties will include: Responsible for the full preparation of group monthly accounts Manage inter-company, ensuring adherence to regulatory & compliance requirements Implement robust financial processes and policies & provide training to junior staff Involved in group budgeting & forecasting alongside senior management Responsible for the ongoing management and development of the finance team as the business grows Ensuring compliance with all Taxation and Statutory obligations Act as the point of contact for external auditors and manage the year end audit process Ad hoc duties and projects as required Candidate Profile Ideal candidate will have a number of years experience working within industry possessing detailed knowledge of accounting processes. Role will suit an ambitious candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business yet also in a 'hands on' role within the finance team. Candidate should be a qualified accountant, with proficient IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active can do attitude. Working experience within a fast paced service, construction or engineering environment would be a distinct advantage. Consideration will also be given to an accountant making their 1st post qualified move from practice to industry.
