Job Description
Senior Accountant required to provide financial, strategic and operational support to the Financial Controller and team.
Our client, a Public Service body, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Senior Management team on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial, strategic and operational support and advice to the Financial Controller and other members of the team.
- Manage a small team and provide financial reporting and analysis to Directorate Senior Management teams.
- Develop and utilise forecasting models to improve financial forecasting and support services.
- Work closely with senior colleagues on key performance processes, including Estimates, Service planning and Budget Allocation.
- Manage "business as usual" within the Finance Division and provide general input to Value for money review.
- Communicate effectively with all internal/external stakeholders and promote compliance with Financial Regulations, HR policies and procedures, GDPR regulations and Health & Safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
