Senior Analyst - Interconnection: Contribute to the integration and optimization of HVDC interconnection assets to deliver the greatest benefit to the Irish transmission grid.

The Operations & Asset Management Directorate within EirGrid comprises highly skilled professionals with backgrounds in engineering and business/commerce.
The Interconnection function is responsible for the operational activities associated with managing the 500 MW High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) East West interconnector.

About the Role
- Third level qualification in science, engineering, business, IT or other relevant discipline, with a minimum of 4 years post qualification experience.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems and awareness of energy targets and ambitions for decarbonisation of the energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets, market arrangements in the SEM, Great Britain, France and in other European countries.
- Ability to deliver medium/large projects, excellent organisational skills and strong track record of delivery.
- Experience in a multidisciplinary team and excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities.
- Ability to conceive and introduce innovative ideas, translate policy and concepts into rules, codes and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
