Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism General Tax Consulting Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary About the Private Business Tax Team (E&PB) The Private Business Tax team is part of the wider domestic tax practice in PwC. We are a growing unit in our domestic tax group, focused on helping clients identify and manage the many different issues that arise in entrepreneurial, family and private businesses. Our team, which is led by four partners, advises on all aspects of tax compliance and consulting, including structuring, tax efficient financing, business succession planning, overseas expansion, family governance and personal tax planning for privately owned enterprises and their owners. We work with a wide range of owner-managed entrepreneurial businesses and large privately owned groups, and our diverse client base provides new and interesting challenges on a day to day basis. Private Business is a key priority growth area for PwC, and we are really excited about expanding the tax team to allow us to develop new client relationships, grow our business and be a market leader in this area. About the role As part of the Private Business team, you'll have the chance to: Work with a wide range of businesses and their owners, helping them to deal with many interesting and challenging issues, not to mention providing you with excellent opportunity to develop and manage your own portfolio; Gain experience working on tax planning projects for E&PB clients; Develop and maintain deep client and business relationships and be a key part in winning and developing work; Be a technical expert in the area of E&PB; Work in a flexible working environment with autonomy to manage your own team and clients while reporting to a team of experienced directors and partners; Lead both internal and external meetings and projects; Grow and leverage your people management skills in a progressive environment; Avail of excellent promotion opportunities. About you - Key Competencies & Experience: At least 3 years' experience in Tax Strong academic record AITI/CTA part or fully qualified Enthusiasm to work with our broad range of clients, to understand their businesses and work with them to address and manage risk. Desire to learn and to apply the knowledge you gain from the regular training sessions we hold on topics that will impact our clients' businesses Business Acumen - use a wide selection of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making innovative business decisions. Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships. Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
