Senior Auditor About the Company Our client is a leading Dublin based international NGO dedicated to eradicating long-term poverty through community-led, market-based, and enterprise-focused approaches. Reporting to the Head of Finance this role is initially being offered as a one-year contract with a strong view to extension. Flexible Hybrid working available. About the Role The Senior Auditor is a key member of the global finance team and plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely completion of the annual audit for the organisation. You will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing the audit process, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. Responsibilities: Coordinate the global audit process to meet agreed deadlines. Serve as the primary contact for the external auditors during fieldwork, liaising between them and the finance department at headquarters and country offices. Respond to auditor inquiries and distribute them to the appropriate finance personnel for resolution across headquarters and country offices. Secure timely bank confirmations from various banking institutions for the organisation's bank accounts. Follow up with headquarters and country office finance departments to ensure prompt resolution of audit queries. Assist in preparing the cash flow forecast for the organization's going concern assessment. Provide weekly updates to senior finance personnel on the status of the audit. Assist in the preparation of financial statements for local entities and the annual report. Participate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting notes. Develop and maintain process/procedure manuals for the organization. Support the Head of Finance in completing the Director's compliance statement and other statutory documents for the external auditors. Assist the governance department with gathering financial information required for regulatory filings. Provide support and cover to the finance team as needed. Experiene: Essential: Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) Minimum 3 years of experience as within Audit High level of initiative, motivation, commitment, and professionalism Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written communication skills Desirable: Financial experience in the non-profit sector This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the organisation's financial transparency and accountability while working in a global environment.
