Job Description
Senior Backend Engineers are responsible for building the core data-flows of Kitman Labs products, focusing on security, privacy, robustness, and performance.

Our advanced operating system, the Intelligence Platform (iP), is used by over 2000 teams in 50 leagues on 6 continents, including the NFL, Premier League, National Women's Soccer League, and MLS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and data-stores
- Possess a deep understanding of what it takes to maintain high standards of software quality, including effective QA processes, writing high-quality code, following best practices, and adhering to established industry standards
- Ensure cross-team collaboration by working with frontend engineers to build features that users love to use
- Work with the product team to reliably spec out and refine user stories, enabling them to be broken down and quickly delivered to production
- Confidently debug complex production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Be focused and able to prioritize tasks and not get distracted by unimportant details
- Set direction from a technical architecture point of view on projects and make pragmatic decisions if projects need to be redirected or scaled back
Experience and Skills:
- Experience building APIs or as part of a team building dynamic web applications
- Ability to take on new technologies and languages
- Hold yourself and others to a high bar
- Take pride in working on projects through to a successful completion
- Recognize the value of standardized, fully tested code that is delivered in a CI/CD environment
Additional Skills:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services or similar
- Experience working with AI tools
- Knowledge of machine learning models
