**Senior Backend Engineer** We're seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to build the core data-flows of our products, focusing on security, privacy, robustness, and performance. **Job Description** Kitman Labs is a performance intelligence company that uses data to unlock the potential of top athletes. Our team of data scientists, sports performance scientists, product designers, and engineers work together to innovate in sports performance, analytics, and user experience. Our Intelligence Platform (iP) is used by over 2000 teams in 50 leagues on 6 continents. **Key Responsibilities** * Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and data-stores * Possess a deep understanding of software quality, including effective QA processes, writing high-quality code, and adhering to industry standards * Collaborate with frontend engineers to build features that users love to use * Work with the product team to spec out and refine user stories * Debug complex production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack * Prioritize tasks and make pragmatic decisions on project direction **Experience and Skills** * Experience building APIs or dynamic web applications * Ability to take on new technologies and languages * Strong understanding of software quality and industry standards * Experience working with Amazon Web Services or similar is a bonus * Knowledge of machine learning models and AI tools is beneficial **What We're Looking For** * A detail-oriented and pragmatic individual who can prioritize tasks and make decisions * Someone who takes pride in working on projects through to successful completion * A team player who can collaborate with others to achieve common goals * A strong communicator who can effectively debug complex issues and provide solutions
