Job Description
Seeking a Buyer/Purchaser to assist with procurement process for a company in Mayo, Ireland.
As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for:
- Placing purchase orders onto the purchase system in line with company procedures.
- Maintaining the purchase system, updating relevant data, preparing reports and business tools.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding deliveries and order dates.
- Interacting with project teams regarding purchasing and supplier queries.
- Preparing information for commercial reports.
- Providing pricing support for the estimation department.
- Representing the purchasing department at company meetings.
- Supporting the finance department with supplier and cost reporting information.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2+ years of experience in a contracting buying environment.
- Experience in construction projects.
- A professional qualification in purchasing/procurement.
- Experience with Sage purchasing software.
- An assertive negotiator with initiative and ability to improve pricing structures.
