Job Description

Ntron Ltd., a part of the Process Sensing Technologies group of companies, is looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to join an expanding electronic design and manufacturing company.
We are looking for a buyer who has experience in electronics purchasing for volume manufacturing operations.
The successful applicant would be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of our products, production processes, and supplier base in order to support the requirements of our customers.
This is a demanding and responsible role in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines where the ideal candidate will demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to their work, will be self-motivated, possess excellent organizational and time management skills with proven capabilities in handling multiple priorities and the ability to work under pressure whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy.
This is a Full-time position
Key Purpose:
You will lead in all aspects of Technical Buying, working with Production Planning/Scheduling and Production Operations to ensure components are procured and on-hand in order to meet the production schedule and customer requirements.
Some supervisory experience would also be an advantage.
Responsibilities:

In line with scheduled requirements, raise purchase orders from ERP and communicate priorities with suppliers to meet manufacture and delivery deadlines.
Work with the supply base to ensure on-time delivery and quality targets are met.
Liaising directly with both new and existing suppliers obtaining raw material product quotes and expediting to meet business needs.
Negotiating price breaks and cost reductions for raw materials and transportation costs with existing and new suppliers.
Develop an effective Supplier strategy by commodity family including assessment and qualification of dual source suppliers where justified.
To develop, document and maintain robust operating procedures for Sourcing processes and Supplier Quality.
Align with PST Sourcing procedures.
Develop and manage improvement of Procurement focused KPIs – cost, delivery, quality, inventory/cash, lead time, and flexibility.
Lead supplier selection process based on KPI improvement requirements.
Develop and execute annual cost reduction plan for materials to support business margin objectives.
Understand and apply relevant tools and techniques to close cost gaps, achieving value for money whilst maintaining supplier relationships.
Develop supplier relationships to maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships where justified.
Support Daily Management requirements as part of the Production Support team, develop suitable reports to manage delivery and quality issues and ensure timely communications to operation team.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean Supply Chain methods.
Develop use and procedures of key systems including ERP / Procurement module to optimize and automate processes where possible.
Support and manage development of indirect procurement categories, develop suppliers for best costs and service outcomes.
Participate and contribute to cross PST sourcing strategy development, and actively partner with group sites to support overall business objectives.

To be considered for the role of Buyer, you will need:

Experience within both repetitive manufacturing and Design/Make to Order environments would be preferable.
Previous procurement experience is essential, ideally within an electronics manufacturing environment.
CIPS qualified or demonstrated experience in professional procurement environment.
Experience in developing sourcing strategies across the short, medium, and long term.
Confident in negotiating prices and lead times in order to maximise value and meet deadlines.
Proven track record in managing supplier relationships to achieve best cost and quality outcomes.
Project management skills including prioritisation, multi-tasking, and meeting firm timelines.
ERP/MRP Procurement system proficient, comfortable with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a focused cross-functional team.
Flexible, goal-focused approach to your work to support business growth.
Knowledge and willingness to participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Location: In Person (Navan, Co Meath)
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 1.30pm
