Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and design stages of civil engineering projects
- Due diligence on new construction sites
- Overseeing project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs
- Surveying new sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades
- Designing and recommending improvements to CAD software drawings and schematics
- Cost estimations and project budgets
- Work schedules and resource allocation, supervising junior engineers and teams
- Ensuring timely completion and budget adherence
- Inspecting projects for compliance with industry codes and safety standards
Necessary skills and requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Licensed and certified civil engineer
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a senior civil engineer on similar projects
- Proficiency in civil engineering project management software
- Knowledge of civil engineering specifications, standards, and codes
