About the Role Our client is one of the leading building consultancies in Ireland, with a team of experienced and dynamic professionals dedicated to delivering projects in line with client requirements. They currently require a Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects for their clients, including feasibility studies, long-range planning studies, and full design services. This includes programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and services during construction for design/bid/build and design/build projects. About You This role is ideal for professionals with a strong technical design background looking for the next step in their career. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and the ability to determine and define each project’s scope of work and deliverables. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for managing design teams, preparing tenders, supervising tendering procedures, preparing proposals, and managing, supervising, and visiting contractors on-site. You will also have demonstrable experience in thinking creatively and logically to resolve design issues. Skills and Experience Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent 7-10 years of experience in engineering in construction, preferably consultancy Demonstrated knowledge of construction & engineering principles Chartership preferred but not essential Experience leading the design and delivery of Civil & Infrastructure engineering projects Excellent technical design skills and knowledge of relevant codes and standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel to project sites as required What’s in it for You?
