Seeking Experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer
A leading Engineering Consultancy in Cork is looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join their design team.
About the Role
This is a challenging opportunity for a Chartered Engineer with excellent technical knowledge and leadership skills to lead design processes on commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Structural Design Engineer on Commercial and Residential Projects
- Civil / structural engineering design of residential and commercial developments
- Production of drawings, reports, calculations, and structural specifications
- Supervision of construction projects
- Management and co-ordination of BCAR Activities
- Site inspections for BCAR Compliance
- Preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings
- Coordination of tender packages for residential and commercial projects
- Completion of Structural and Conditions Surveys
- Management and mentoring of engineers/technicians to ensure works are completed on schedule and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Excellent technical knowledge
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering (Level 8)
- Chartered Engineer Status
- Proficient in Design Software, Microsoft Office, Project, and AutoCAD/Revit
- Strong interpersonal / people skills
- Strong knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines
- Ability to lead the design of small and large-scale projects
- Ability to modify / improve existing designs to facilitate ease of construction
- Flexible approach to work and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Ability to manage multi-projects while ensuring all deadlines are met
- Proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical)
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of the team
- Own transport is required and ability to travel to nationwide sites/meetings/inspections
