Seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure optimization, management, and scaling for a large enterprise in Dublin.
We are a leading provider of cloud solutions, seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools.
- Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are secure and efficient.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot production and staging environments, proactively monitoring for potential issues.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and design cloud solutions that align with technical and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including security and regulatory requirements.
- Document processes and architectures to ensure consistent communication across teams.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering roles, with deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, networking, and encryption.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Experience with load balancing, firewalls, and network security technologies.
