Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Location: Dublin (Hybrid) Daily Rate: €450-€550 Employment Type: Contract (6 months, potential extension) Experience Level: Senior Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to take the lead in optimising, managing, and scaling cloud infrastructure solutions for a large enterprise. You will work across multiple projects, ensuring cloud services are cost-efficient, secure, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role involves hands-on management of cloud environments, implementing best practices for automation, and collaborating closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering cloud solutions, ensuring the systems remain highly available, scalable, and secure. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative cloud projects and play a key role in driving the company's cloud strategy. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools. Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are secure and efficient. Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, ensuring high availability and performance. Troubleshoot production and staging environments, proactively monitoring for potential issues. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and design cloud solutions that align with technical and organizational goals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including security and regulatory requirements. Document processes and architectures to ensure consistent communication across teams. Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering roles, with deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation). Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration. Proven experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Solid understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, networking, and encryption. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK. Experience with load balancing, firewalls, and network security technologies. A cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
