**Senior Compliance Programme Manager**
**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly experienced Compliance Programme Manager to join our team. This is a critical role in the planned expansion of our business, requiring a strong leader to shape the future of our Compliance practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide strong management direction for the Compliance function with a specific focus on Environmental and Social (ESG) regulations.
- Develop, embed, and enhance policy and procedural changes to ensure compliance across all areas of responsibility.
- Support the development, ongoing management and reporting on the annual programme plan for key compliance initiatives.
- Own full program management lifecycles - identify, track, and mitigate project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
- Support execution of compliance-related activities, including statutory risk assessments, regulatory requests for information, designing and testing controls and safeguards, issue management, exams/audits, governance, data & tooling systems, and regulatory & compliance transparency reporting.
- Work closely across internal teams to understand and capture requirements and set success criteria for programs that align with strategic goals.
- Advising on the compliance requirements and operationalisation of controls for relevant environmental and social regulations and directives.
- Undertaking compliance reviews of applicable regulations, acquiring evidence of compliance ensuring that they are in line with policy, working with internal partners on any areas of non-compliance and generating regular and routine reports on the same to management.
- Improving and maintaining the compliance monitoring program, ensuring compliance issues raised are dealt with in a timely fashion.
- Working closely with the business verticals to ensure full support in launching in new markets, and/or products and services in compliant manner.
- Coordinating compliance in relation to products, strategies and operational processes and procedures, working with partners and management.
- Ensuring that relationship with relevant regulatory bodies is kept to the highest standard.
- Undertaking ad hoc projects as determined by Management and assist with Legal on regulatory issues and queries as applicable.
- Operate as a trusted advisor to the business.
- Establish effective business relationships and maintain knowledge of operating procedures.
- Acknowledge, anticipate, and balance the competing interests of stakeholders and serve as an integrated business and audit partner.
- Ensure progress on key decisions, remove roadblocks and act as the point of escalation for workstream risks and issues to ensure deadlines are met.
**Requirements**
- Minimum of 7 years experience working in a compliance/ regulatory/ risk/second-line function, with a focus on ESG.
- Experience in interpreting and applying legislation or regulation within a company context and partnering with the first line to design and implement controls.
- Knowledge and a history of conducting root cause analysis, investigations and/or auditing.
- Previous experience in supporting work in relation to regulators, external auditors, and inspectors, which is desirable.
- Prior experience in navigating complex multi-stakeholder environments, demonstrating significant interpersonal skills and generating 'buy-in' from all stakeholder groups.
- Good understanding of organizational dynamics, business processes, and policies, as well as a working knowledge of business processes and key risks in a fast-paced commercial environment.
