Financial Reporting Specialist
Northern Trust, a globally recognized financial institution, seeks a Financial Reporting Specialist to join its team.
As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and interpreting changes to accounting standards and regulations, liaising with external audit firms, and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with current requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish best practice within the department to provide unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve performance.
- Review and deliver financial statements to ensure compliance with current accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Represent Northern Trust Financial Reporting at external forums and keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments.
- Identify training and development needs and establish performance standards for the department.
- Guide staff in the resolution of non-routine and complex financial reporting issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in the investment management industry, acquired through working in fund administration, asset management, or securities operations industry or audit industry.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building qualities, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-servicing skills.
- Detailed knowledge of onshore and offshore funds administration, including Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS experience.
- Working knowledge of the Irish regulatory regime as it relates to Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting.
