Job Description
Negotiate and administer complex contracts with suppliers, manage contract lifecycles, and mitigate risks while building strong relationships with stakeholders and business teams. Manage Supplier Contracts and provide guidance to the team on strategic sourcing projects. Support the implementation of Verizon corporate policies and procedures, and act as an advisor to stakeholders and subordinates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial contracts, negotiation, and relationship building, with experience in contract management or category sourcing. Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience is required. Additional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, CFCM, or PMP are highly valued. This role is a hybrid position with a defined work location and remote work options. The candidate will work closely with US Sourcing Managers and Contract Managers to prioritize sourcing projects, establish and maintain contractual relationships with vendors, and monitor contract compliance. They will also provide contract-related issue resolution and guide the CSE for contract execution. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues simply and succinctly. They will be able to work well with others of varied backgrounds and experiences, and seek to understand their interests and motivations to build mutual outcomes. The role requires strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to hold one's ground on non-negotiables. The ideal candidate will also have experience negotiating and managing complex agreements with significant budgets, ideally with suppliers.
