Job Description

The Client: My Client are a €70m turnover Main Contracting Construction Group with numerous projects in Leinster and Connacht. They have decades of experience in building residential, commercial, industrial health care and educational structures and have regular repeat business from private Clients, the DOE and HSE. Due to changes within the Senior Management team, I am looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to look after 2no. Public Works Contracts. Values of these contracts will be c.€50m in total. You'll be reporting directly in to the Managing Director who is very approachable and has great Construction Contracts knowledge which he is keen to pass-on if needs be. The ideal candidate will be looking for their next long-term role and will have aspirations (an the ability) to become a Company Director in the future. Main responsibilities will include: Oversee all contract management activities for multiple construction projects. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial oversight. Negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all contractual terms and conditions, legal regulations, and company policies. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating any risks or issues. Coordinate with Senior Management and key stakeholders to ensure project execution. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met. Resolve any contractual disputes or issues promptly and effectively. Prepare and present regular progress and financial reports to senior management and stakeholders. Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders (clients and their representatives, architects, consultants, subbies etc.) Implement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or similar. Proven experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Contracts Manager on Irish/British Construction projects. Knowledge of contract law, construction processes, and best practices (Public Works Contracts knowledge isn't 100& necessary) Excellent negotiation and financial management skills. Proficiency in contract management software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Valid Safe Pass and manual handling certificates. What's on offer?
