Job Description
Cyber Security Engineer sought to manage and improve the organisation's cyber security posture through technology implementation and security validation of systems & architecture.
This role will report directly to the Group CISO and contribute to a small dedicated cyber security team with exposure to a broad range of technologies and systems.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Develop and support the organisation's Information Security Architecture
• Analyse and strengthen existing system configurations to ensure they are optimized for security and performance
• Review existing technical policies and procedures and identify changes that could be made
• Review the information security architecture and controls of current and future projects, technologies and services
• Contribute to design of Active Directory, Group Policy, and other essential services with an emphasis on secure configurations
• Review compliance settings of various systems to ensure adherence with ISMS
• Coordinate with other teams to conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
• Conducting Risk Assessments and identifying security threats
• Working with the IT departments to design, implement and maintain secure applications and network architecture
• Conducting Technical Security Audits
**Requirements:**
• 8+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years in IT security roles
• A background in other relevant security or IT positions (ideally Infrastructure or System Administration)
• Good technical knowledge of Microsoft AD, M365 and Azure security
• Good technical knowledge of Networking /Firewalls
• Good knowledge of using Security tools to liaise with and support our Security Operations Centre
• Clear understanding of secure design architecture and principles
• Ability to carry out technical security audits
• Desirable Experience with security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS Benchmarks)
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Python) for automation
