Job Description
**Data Analyst Role Summary:** Senior Data Analyst responsible for managing complex data sources, pipelines, and automation, ensuring data quality and consistency, and developing solutions to store large volumes of data. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in creating specifications, ensuring data quality, and developing data solutions to support business needs. **Key Responsibilities:** * Anticipate customer needs and develop solutions to meet them * Serve as a key resource on complex and critical issues * Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions * Perform conceptual analyses and review work performed by others * Forecast and plan resource requirements * Authorize deviations from standards * Lead functional or segment teams or projects * Provide explanations and information on complex issues * Motivate and inspire team members **Data Management and Analysis:** * Create and maintain data pipelines * Develop SQL stored procedures and functions for complex transformations * Design optimal pipelines to meet use cases * Create logical and physical data models to ensure data integrity * Manage code, create CI/CD pipelines, and automate using GitHub and Git Actions * Tune and optimize data processes * Design and build processes to clean and standardize data * Deploy code to production environments and troubleshoot data issues **Required Qualifications:** * Computer Science bachelor's degree or similar * Strong proven experience in data analytics * Excellent communication skills – verbal and written * Excellent knowledge of SQL * Knowledge of data warehousing and BI solutions * Experience with ETL, ELT, SCD, and change data capture * Hands-on experience with SQL queries, ETL/ELT/data pipelines, query analysis, and optimization **Preferred Qualifications:** * Knowledge of Azure Services, Snowflake, and Terraform * Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and orchestration * Knowledge of real-time analytics pipelines, and data modeling for visualization tools * Experience with other programming languages, such as Python and Spark **Company Overview:** Optum is a global organization that delivers care through technology to improve health outcomes.
