Permanent employee, Full-time · Remote - Ireland, Dublin - HybridAbout the jobAs a Senior Data Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering advanced data solutions to our customers. You will lead end-to-end data projects, from scoping requirements to implementation, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality analytics, data strategies, and insights. This role requires an experienced consultant who can not only analyse and interpret complex data but also communicate findings effectively to senior stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and clients to design tailored data solutions that meet business needs and regulatory requirements.Specifically, we see your time is spent:Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, gathering business requirements, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring project objectives align with their business needs.Data Strategy and Solutions Development: Lead the development of data strategies and analytics solutions that drive business value. This includes data governance, data architecture, and analytics frameworks tailored to each customer.Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of data projects, from requirements gathering to implementation and delivery, working with the Spark Delivery Management team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior-level stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand their objectives, provide insights, and influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.Data Analytics and Reporting: Deliver actionable insights and performance reports by utilising data analytics tools and techniques. Provide data models, risk assessments, and other key metrics for our customers.Regulatory Compliance: Design and recommend data solutions that comply with relevant industry regulations and standards, including GDPR, Basel III, and other sector-specific data governance rules.Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior consultants and data analysts, providing guidance and expertise to help develop their skills and knowledge in data analysis.What will pique our interest is someone that might have:Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Experience: 7+ years of experience in data consulting, analytics, or business intelligence, with a preference for experience in working with finance functions. Strong background in managing client relationships and working directly with senior stakeholders. Proven track record of successfully estimating and delivering complex data solutions in a consulting or professional services environment.Technical Skills: Expertise in data analytics and visualisation tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for data storage and analytics, as well as related tools such as Workato, Snowflake and DBT. Experience in working closely with and directing technical teams in the achievement of client project objectives.Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
