**Senior Data Engineer for AI Centre of Excellence** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to drive AI solutions that deliver real business value, working closely with Data Scientists to implement AI solutions aligned to the bank's strategic objectives. **Job Description** We are looking for a results-driven Senior Data Engineer to join our newly established AI Centre of Excellence. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing data workflows for complex integration projects, ensuring data structures are appropriate to the objective of the AI solution being deployed. **Key Responsibilities** • Designs, develops and maintains robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines and architecture to support AI and machine learning initiatives. • Ensures data integrity, quality, and security across data processes and infrastructure, implementing best practices for data governance and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. • Ensures the successful integration of diverse data sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. • Implements new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve data processes and infrastructure. • Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, efficiency, and reliability. • Responsible for delivering a catalogue of AI use cases with proven value. **Requirements** • Degree in Maths, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent qualification. • 4+ years' experience as Data Engineer or experience in financial services with relevant data engineering qualifications. • Highly numerate and passionate about data and analytics with excellent analytical and problem solving skills. • Solid experience in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures and pipelines. • Database experience preferably on Teradata or other Databases. **Why Work for AIB** We are committed to offering our colleagues choice and flexibility in how we work and live, with a hybrid working model that enables our people to balance their time between working from home and their designated office.
