MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering alongside a growing technology powerhouse as they seek to add a Senior Data Engineer to their energetic team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business continues to have access to the latest data insights using the latest technologies. (Hybrid - 2/3 days per week on-site - North Dublin) Responsibilities: You should be dedicated to delivering with speed, ensuring high-quality results, and have a strong enthusiasm for data and the potential value it can offer. Collaborate with the data team on cloud platforms like GCP to establish a specialized data architecture that meets the evolving needs of the organization and its partner companies. Develop and sustain an efficient data pipeline architecture. Identify, design, and implement improvements to internal processes by automating tasks, optimizing data workflows, and redesigning infrastructure for scalability. Construct the infrastructure required for the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources using Python, SQL, and GCP technologies. Engage in concept development, case analysis, and collaborate closely with product teams and business units. Analyze operational challenges and change requests. Draft technical specifications and provide work estimates. Develop solutions and oversee their deployment into production environments. Generate documentation to support the implemented solutions. Conduct peer reviews and collaborate with other team members to ensure quality outcomes Requirements: 5+ years of data engineering experience Strong knowledge of Python (Java will be considered) Strong experience with GCP or AWS. ETL tool experience essential Kafka, Terraform and Apache Airflow experience preferred. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Capable of setting priorities on their own, adhering to deadlines, and handling changing priorities for client deliverable's. Creative and flexible, both independently and in a team environment. Results-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Competitive salary of up to €80,000 DOE.
