Senior Substation Design Engineer required for utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company operating in Ireland, UK and internationally. Key responsibilities include design report compilation, quality assurance and peer review.
AA Euro Group has been retained to recruit a Senior Substation Design Engineer for a utility infrastructure consultancy and construction company operating extensively within the utilities sector in Ireland, the UK and internationally.
Reporting directly to Design Managers/Leads and Group Directors, this position would suit an experienced Design Engineer looking to take the next step in their engineering career.
The role will be based out of our clients Dublin operations and will offer hybrid working conditions.
Occasional site visits will be required by the successful candidate.
The Role:
- Design report compilation
- Design review
- Quality assurance compliance
- ISO HSQE standards implementation
- Peer review of draft reports/drawings/documentation
- Detailed analysis of design packages
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the design of transmission and distribution networks
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (NFQ Level 8)
- Relevant industry experience, though not essential
- Strong technical and design ability
- Strong IT skills
- Knowledge of Auto CAD, though training will be provided where necessary
- Excellent team worker with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to work and full driver's license
- Formal report writing and professional presentation of work
