As a design engineer, you will work closely with a high-profile client base to design fire protection sprinkler systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.Produce CAD drawings for electrical and mechanical installation work.Responsible for all aspects of sprinkler design, including hydraulic calculations, shop drawing preparation, and stock listing.Design and layout of fire protection systems to meet LPC/NFPA/FM criteria.Review and production of detailed fire protection schematics such as Fire Sprinkler Protection, Foam enhances fire protection, Gas Protection, firewater mist protection, inert gas protection, and special hazard fire protection.Mentoring projects and design colleagues.Creation of installation/construction and fabrication drawings.Decipher information received from various formats (sketches, BIM execution plans, architectural drawings).Essential Criteria:Previous experience as a Fire Sprinkler Industry Designer.Proficient in Microsoft Office, 2D AutoCAD, and Revit MEP software such as AutoSPRINK or similar.Capable of performing Clash detection using Navisworks and Revit interface check/ Ability to extract BOQs and fabrication drawings from Revit.Experience in working on large commercial fire protection systems.Skill management of project schedules and deadlines.Familiar with reading and effectively interpreting architectural/engineering plans, schematics, and design drawings for Irish and European projects.Must be eligible to work in ROI.Desirable:Relevant third-level qualification (Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering).Knowledge of BIM 360.What's in it for you?Competitive Salary (DOE).Pension Scheme.Health care Allowance.Bonus.To speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Amy Wallace, Specialist Consultant at MCS Group.Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
