Our client, a civil engineering consultancy firm, is expanding and recruiting for two Senior Design/Project Engineers to join their Kilkenny Office. Duties and responsibilities: You will be working in a senior engineering role under the direction of Directors and other senior professionals . Preparation and review of feasibility/preliminary designs and reports using various software and subsequent preparation of preliminary/detailed design drawings and specifications. Production of preliminary, detailed and contract drawings using alignment design software such as MX Roads or Civil 3D. Coordination & liaison with Clients, Stakeholders and Local/Regulatory Authorities. Procurement of Sub-consultants, site investigations and contracts including preparation of pricing schedules and bills of quantities. Preparation, administration and assessment of tenders. Administration of the construction contracts to ensure that design requirements, project schedules and project budget are achieved. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum Level 8 Honours Degree Qualification in Civil Engineering (a Level 9 Master’s Degree would be an advantage) Accredited by Engineers Ireland or equivalent qualification Minimum 5 years’ experience ideally in the area of civil engineering/roads/transportation projects. Advantageous skills and experience: Robust understanding of Design Standards i.e. TII Publications, DMURS etc. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD and MX Roads/Civil 3D.
