Job Description
Senior Development Organic Chemist sought for a permanent role at a growing facility in Cork, Ireland, to provide chemistry expertise and technical support for process development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support lab development projects, including route scouting, route development, proof of concept, and process robustness studies.
- Provide technical and laboratory support for introducing new products, from route development through scale-up and plant implementation.
- Propose modifications to synthetic routes to address complex chemistry issues for both laboratory and plant processes.
- Synthesize compounds to meet required quality standards, including the acquisition and interpretation of analytical data.
- Expand scientific, technical, and drug discovery knowledge by reading peer-reviewed literature, attending scientific conferences, and participating in relevant training.
- Communicate with clients and other teams to ensure smooth project transfer from the plant to the lab.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in chemistry with a significant Organic Chemistry component.
- 1-2 years of experience in synthetic/organic chemistry (industry or research institution preferred).
- Experience in leading a development project.
