Job Summary

The Senior Director for BPO Management will spearhead our Accounting Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) strategy, driving excellence in overseeing and optimizing the activities within our external BPO partner.

This person will partner closely with the VP Finance and various members of the Finance senior leadership team to drive CFO organization and company initiatives.

Responsibilities

Drive the vision and strategy for end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) Accounting operations and processes.
Reviewer responsibility for ex-US entity trial balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Provide accounting policy application guidance to Global Finance (FP&A) and other business partners as needed for ex-US geography.
Oversee General Ledger operations for all global operations.
BPO Management

Manage the Global GL function in partnership with the BPO (28 FTEs at the BPO).

Oversee BPO daily operations (across RTR, Accounts Payable and Order to Cash towers), analyzing key performance reporting with BPO leadership and determining course corrections when required.

Establish and monitor BPO service levels and ensure adherence to agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Provide support for issue resolution and review the work performed by the BPO.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with BPO team, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and fostering collaborative success.

Act as a collaboration point to the BPO team to continuously improve process design focusing on simplification, standardization, quality improvement and cost minimization.

Accounting lead for all RTR matters, collaborating with cross-functional business partners to resolve issues, identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive industry leading operational and reporting excellence.

Evaluate best practices with global peers to elevate overall financial operations to new standards of excellence and become best practice sponsor.

Identify and assess financial risks associated with BPO operations, implementing proactive measures to mitigate potential challenges.

Liaise with Accounts Payable, Order-to-Cash, Payroll and Stock Admin teams as necessary to ensure completion of month end process.

Oversee and ensure application of the Company's finance policies and procedures and internal controls in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Lead all RTR related human resources initiatives; budgeting for staff/resource expenses; coaching and mentoring, to create an attractive proposition for employees and external hires.

Utilize advanced accounting knowledge to drive excellence in project execution, encompassing process enhancements, system implementations, and compliance initiatives.
Support Finance leadership team and other functional leaders on special projects, as needed.

Provide strong leadership to the team involved in various finance projects, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results-driven project management.

Partner with internal and external auditors and advisors.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong leadership skills.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; consultative and collaborative style that allows for influence without authority.

Strong communication and presentation skills and a demonstrated track record of working effectively with senior level executives.

Ability to clearly assess complex issues, communicate them in a clear and concise manner, and develop appropriate solutions in a timely manner.

Technologically proficient, especially with Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications.
Enthusiastic, positive professional attitude with integrity and reliability.
Strategic individual who can see the "big picture" and be future thinking.
Experience working in a global organization with knowledge of application of intercompany and transfer pricing structures.
Experience partnering with or managing a BPO team an advantage.
Resilient – able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

Bachelor or master's degree in Finance or Accounting, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferred.
A minimum of 10-15 years of experience, preferably in a dynamic international organization.
Big 4 experience an advantage.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of the following systems an advantage: SAP S/4 HANA, BPC, Oracle, Blackline, Concur.
International travel required e.g.
meet with BPO partner in India at least once per year.
