Senior Director of Finance – Dublin / Hybrid: Lead a global finance team and drive strategic vision for a new service line within the Optum network.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Serve as the senior leader developing and leading a global finance team
  • Responsible for all financial operations, and financial reporting within Optum's Nuvaila business
  • Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Engage with accounting team on the preparation of all internal financial statements to support corporate financial reporting requirements
  • Drive near and long-term strategic vision and priorities of the organization and help lead business development activities including product licensing, co-development, and royalty arrangements
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the organization, providing insights to support key decisions and drive long-term business plans
  • Identify opportunities for expansion into new product areas
  • Participate as a senior executive in supplier contract negotiations, and provide executive sponsorship in managing supplier relationships

**Requirements:**

  • Degree in finance, accounting, and/or related field
  • Extensive professional experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Pharmaceutical and/or life science industry experience
  • Experience in health care government programs
  • Experience with supporting commercial teams to create, execute, optimize, and rethink profitable growth strategies
  • Confidence and assertiveness, with strong influencing skills across business functions and the ability to deliver difficult messages when necessary
  • Adaptability and flexibility, willingness to embrace change and work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
