Discover your exciting role With full responsibility for leading Quality and Commissioning (QCx) for the Exyte Global Business Unit, Biopharma Lifesciences, the objective of this position is to foster a culture of predictable results and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects that function optimally according to the owner's project requirements and design specifications. As an active and visible champion for Exyte Quality Management policies and the custodian of our ‘Commissioning Expertise’ and ‘Completion Assured’ predictability pillars, you will work closely with the GBU BLS SVP Project Delivery and Corporate VP Quality Management to drive the organization to a consistent level of world-class QCx performance and to implement strategic initiatives. As the GBU BLS Sr. Director Quality and Commissioning (QCx) lead, you will be at the forefront of the leadership of the GBU BLS, championing a lean management approach and the Exyte Way, and leading collaboration across the regional, functional and company resources within the Group. Explore your tasks and responsibilities QCx leader and subject matter expert (SME) for all GBU BLS operations. Collaborate closely with Regional Business Unit and Corporate QCx leads to develop and implement global strategies and operational goals within the BLS GBU. Build the GBU BLS QCx team in line with the overall business plan and so that our capacity and record in this area is a strategic differentiator. Develop and drive the implementation of QCx standards, guidelines, processes, and tools that ensure consistency across the business. Leverage dedicated commissioning software and digital solutions to streamline the commissioning process and ensure that all commissioning activities are properly documented and automated. Align with EHS colleagues to ensure robust and integrated strategies for the control of hazardous energy are implemented and maintained at all times. Work closely with the Business Acquisition team and Opportunity Managers on relevant aspects of Prequalification, Proposals, and Tender Preparations. Support design/constructability reviews and assist in the development of commissioning specifications and Cx Plans. Ensure measurable acceptance criteria are clearly understood and objectively defined on each project at the earliest possible opportunity to provide execution certainty. Provide hands-on support and oversight to ensure processes, systems, and tools are consistently set up and maintained across the business. Ensure project inspection and record management strategies are specifically tailored and aligned to seamlessly support and enable construction and commissioning methodologies and sequencing. Act as a critical link between the various stakeholders involved in the QCx process, encouraging transparency and establishing clear communication channels. Identify and flag any potential problems/risks as early as possible and work with project teams to identify optimum mitigation and recovery strategies. Serve as an independent quality assurance authority, helping to ensure that systems are designed, installed, and operated correctly. Provide specialist QCx troubleshooting and issue resolution support throughout the construction process and beyond. Provide lead customer QCx related liaison and support and develop specific customer-centric approaches and strategy. Show your expertise Education: Bachelor's or master’s degree in Quality Management, engineering, construction management, or related field. 15+ years' experience in the construction industry. Experience in a medium or large company in a lead Quality or operational/technical role as part of the senior management team. Specific experience in key technical areas such as civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical will be an advantage in fulfilling the responsibilities of the role. Analytical mindset with the ability to interrogate data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve quality performance. Experience of effectively managing customer and stakeholder relationships.
