We are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our office design team and contribute to several upcoming key projects in the Bio-Pharmaceutical and Food sectors. The ideal candidate will take on the role of Lead Design Engineer/Coordinator, overseeing the planning, execution, tracking, and enhancement of Electrical Design Deliverables across multiple projects. Responsibilities Design and coordinate electrical systems in compliance with local, national, and international standards, as well as current best industry practices. Understand and plan for future industry-standard execution methodologies. Stay updated on current regulatory requirements (including Environmental Health and Safety) Stay updated on current technology, design software trends, and industry standards within the discipline. Develop project design execution standard processes within PM Group. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the marketplace in which PM Group operates, including future customer projects and competitor activities. Prepare and/or review project hour estimates and project schedules Ensure project work is completed within budgeted hours. Chair design reviews with both the project team and clients. Participate in project site visits to plan, monitor, and review electrical installation designs. Manage projects independently and assist others as needed. Manage the preparation of technical documents in accordance with agreed schedules and ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements Qualifications Third Level Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline 10+ years of formal experience in industrial engineering design Excellent verbal and written communication skills required Professional approach and demeanor A strong ethical approach to safety, quality, and sustainable design Knowledge of applicable electrical engineering codes, standards, and current industry best practices Ability to Co-ordinate with design team and external stakeholders Ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement innovative technologies and methods required to provide cost-effective solutions for our clients Demonstrable experience in the complete suite of electrical engineering design services and activities: A working knowledge of the following design applications is essential: AutoDesk Revit AutoDesk Navisworks AutoDesk AutoCAD Dialux Lighting Design Software Caneco One - Electrical Engineering Software Suite Knowledge of the following design applications would be advantageous: SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) Amtech ProDesign ETAP - Electrical Modelling Software If you do not match the above exactly but feel you fit the role, please apply anyway.
