Role Overview: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will oversee the engineering operations for a specific construction project. Your responsibilities will evolve with the projects needs, in close collaboration with the Project Manager. Your key objective is to ensure seamless coordination between technical design and on-site installation, culminating in successful project commissioning while embodying our clients core vision, mission, and values. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough electrical design reviews to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or deviations from specifications. Validate and recommend cable sizing adjustments as necessary. Ensure all technical evaluations are completed promptly, resolving any technical issues without delay. Prepare and submit detailed electrical technical submittals. Manage the approvals process for submittals, monitor the procurement and delivery of electrical equipment, and verify equipment upon arrival. Participate in regular supply chain meetings to track and ensure progress aligns with the overall construction schedule. Update and maintain system trackers to reflect construction progress accurately. Collaborate with the BIM team to ensure that the electrical design is both practical and allows sufficient space for equipment installation and maintenance. Coordinate with the design team and supply chain to ensure proper plant operation and a smooth handover. Perform electrical system inspections to confirm compliance with specifications and drawings. Assemble test packs, FTOPs, and O&Ms for final approval. Oversee specialist vendors during commissioning to ensure timely completion of tasks. Conduct client training sessions in accordance with the agreed training plan. Qualifications and Experience: A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. Experience working with both Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems, especially in building services and data centre environments. At least 4 years of project engineering experience with an Electrical Contractor. Proven experience managing small to medium-scale Electrical projects (Commercial, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, or Data Center projects). Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials. Expertise in conducting electrical system walk-downs to verify compliance with specifications. Proficient in developing technical submittals, conducting reviews, and completing assessments. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems and procedures, with an understanding of team dynamics and strengths. Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage tasks efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead others effectively. Excellent administrative and record-keeping skills. Ability to innovate and lead technical initiatives, providing expert guidance on electrical and technical matters. Proven project management skills, with the ability to plan and execute effectively. Strong analytical problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisive actions. Process-oriented, with a focus on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Management Systems.
