Senior Electrical EngineerOur client, a high potential medical device startup directly involved in the design and development of innovative products, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. The Senior Electrical Engineer will focus on all stages of the product development process from conceptual generation through to commercialization of cutting-edge medical devices. Reporting to the R&D Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a highly innovative and rapidly growing world of therapeutic devices, with ample developmental opportunities to progress to higher level technical roles in the organization.Role/Responsibilities:Contribute to developing products for use in minimally invasive therapeutic procedures as defined/required by the business needs of the company.Interface with team members to optimize the design and safety of the product by providing technical input to the team.Provide novel product design and development engineering support and input to research and development projects.Design concepts and prototypes in advance of selecting the most promising solution and implement technologies to provide the optimum design solution.Plan and track elements of product development, new product introductions, and technology transfers, ensuring adherence to project timelines.Develop and maintain product development and innovation processes and procedures incorporating industry best practices and in compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements.Develop a state-of-the-art understanding of relevant products and processes.Develop product and test specifications, perform engineering calculations and analyses, and serve as department technical resource in any area of expertise.Proactively identify areas where process and product improvements can be made. Develop predictive engineering tools, techniques, and approaches to enhance the product development process.Work with internal team members to explore new technologies, assessing in terms of performance, cost, and reliability.Skills & Experience:Degree level 8 in Engineering or related discipline with 5 years+ relevant experience – additional relevant qualifications may be advantageous.Experience with electrical medical device product development.Ideally experienced designing RF systems, including PCB design and RF simulation tools (COMSOL).Ability to provide creativity while solving complex problems without known solutions.Experience working on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.Experience in designing, running, and gathering data for experiments; participates in the design of new test methods and procedures.Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.Ability to collaborate and create alignment as a team member.Experience and knowledge in designing, verifying, and optimizing processes within the organization to guarantee compliance.Experience with statistical techniques (DOE, Six Sigma).Knowledge of regulatory standards and design control systems desirable but not essential.Manages with transparency.For further information, please contact James Cassidy at james.cassidy@lifescience.ie or call in confidence at 086 0204322. #J-18808-Ljbffr
