Senior Electrical Project Manager Location: Limerick (1 to 2 days onsite per week and 1 to 2 days on client sites between Cork, Limerick and Dublin, with an average of 2 days on the road/Client side per week) The Employer My client is an Irish fast growing nationwide business, providing customised E&I to some of the biggest manufacturing companies in Ireland. Summary of role & requirements: The Senior Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for managing custom E&I system projects from start to finish. Reporting to the Engineering Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, and co-ordinating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure each projects success. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills to manage various aspects of projects effectively. Overall, as a Senior Electrical Project Manager, your role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects, driving innovation, and contributing to the growth and success of the organization. Extensive demonstrated experience managing electrical projects on Manufacturing Sites from initiation to completion. A background in industrial E&I is a distinct advantage. Full Spec: Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of electrical projects Oversee the entire project life cycle, ensuring timely delivery and within budget. Work with sales and engineering teams to understand project requirements and scope. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Manage cross-functional project teams of electrical engineers, technicians, and other project team members. Budget Management: Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle. Track costs, review invoices, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Work closely with finance and accounting teams to reconcile project expenses and financial reports. Manage project change requests and budget variations effectively, engaging efficiently with relevant stakeholders. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Resource Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to allocate resources effectively. Procure necessary materials, equipment, and manpower to support project requirements. Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee performance to ensure quality standards are met. Technical Oversight: Provide technical expertise and guidance on gas detection and electrical systems. Review design specifications and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance. Resolve technical issues and coordinate with engineering teams to implement solutions. Client Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly. Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on project progress, milestones, and deliverables. Manage expectations and foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Implement quality control measures to ensure industry standards and client expectations are met. Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Generate regular status reports, highlighting key performance metrics, milestones, and risks. Facilitate project closeout activities, including project documentation, lessons learned, and final customer sign-off, for future reference and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field. 5+ years of experience in project management, specifically in electrical engineering projects. Knowledge of E&I systems a distinct advantage. Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations. PMP certification or relevant credentials are desirable. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. Whats on offer?
