Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor with Electrical background required to support Electrical Commercial Team on 30 MW Data Centre project in Dublin.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this high-profile project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing support to the Construction Team on all Quantity Surveying functions
  • Ensuring compliance with contract obligations and providing advice and monitoring to the construction team
  • Identifying potential commercial risks and reporting to management
  • Compiling monthly progress applications and ensuring accurate remeasurement, site variations, day-works, or claims
  • Procurement and contract support, in conjunction with the Procurement Department
  • Managing subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account
  • Managing and forecasting turnover and cash flow of the projects
  • Reviewing and commercial management of the project to ensure accurate and reliable reporting

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, analysing, and reporting on trends within the Business & Projects
  • Reviewing all incoming correspondence from Employers, Design Team, and/or subcontractors to identify contractually critical items and initiate replies
  • Managing the commercial team on site consisting of an intermediate QS and a graduate QS

Key skills and requirements include:

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics
  • Previous experience with an M&E Contractor
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience post-qualification
  • Previous Data Centre experience preferred
  • Experience in an Electrical role required
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills
