Senior Energy and Sustainability Engineer required to lead energy-related projects, manage teams, and develop energy-efficient solutions.
Our client is a leading M&E engineering consultancy with offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, and Galway.
Job Description
As a Senior Energy and Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing energy and sustainability engineering for all projects, ensuring project performance and profitability.
- Managing subcontractors and their information, including auditing and appointment.
- Coordinating dynamic thermal modeling, including Part L Assessments, Comfort Analysis, and natural ventilation studies.
- Undertaking studies related to BREEAM Credits, including thermal comfort, low and zero carbon technologies, and predicted operational energy.
- Preparing energy and sustainability statements for developments and coordinating contributions from design team stakeholders.
- Preparing high-quality reports and supporting bidding for new opportunities.
- Undertaking EPCs for new and existing buildings and leading change in new systems and technologies.
- Mentoring and developing less experienced engineers and ensuring the good name and reputation of the company.
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in the built environment with proven performance in sustainability.
- Active accreditation in LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor, WELL AP, or HPI Assessor.
- Basic technical knowledge across disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and ecology.
- Ability to identify, manage, and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Public speaking skills and familiarity with energy and environmental performance.
- Experience in team management, resource management, and time management.

- Salary: €55k - €65k per year.
