Job Description

Global Green, a leading engineering firm, seeks a Senior Energy Auditor to conduct energy audits, identify efficiency opportunities, and provide expert guidance to clients in commercial and industrial sectors.

As a Senior Energy Auditor, you will lead energy audits of commercial and industrial facilities, assessing energy performance and delivering expert guidance on improving energy efficiency. This role involves significant client engagement and travel to client sites, with hybrid working arrangements available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive on-site energy audits of commercial and industrial buildings, facilities, and systems, identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Analyse energy consumption data, including utility bills, equipment specifications, and site operations, to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Utilise specialized tools such as infrared cameras, data loggers, and energy meters to measure and evaluate energy performance in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Develop and implement Registers of Opportunities, documenting energy efficiency and carbon emissions reduction measures for clients.
  • Prepare detailed reports, presenting energy audit findings, recommendations, and financial projections for energy-saving initiatives.
  • Lead project identification efforts, proposing energy-saving measures, including equipment upgrades, renewable energy options, and behavioral changes.
  • Provide project development support, working closely with clients from concept to implementation of energy-saving projects in commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, technological advancements, and best practices in energy management.
  • Engage with clients to build strong relationships and provide continuous guidance on energy management strategies and legislative compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and clients to ensure seamless delivery of energy auditing services and project outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Non-Domestic BER Assessor qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in conducting energy audits for commercial and industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in identifying and implementing energy efficiency measures and strategies in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Strong technical analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and evaluate energy performance data.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients.
  • Experience working with energy management software and tools (e.g., energy meters, infrared cameras).
  • Full clean driving license, with the willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Digital skills for data analysis, reporting, and client communication.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with ISO 50001 implementation or other energy management standards.
  • Knowledge of building energy performance and familiarity with non-domestic BER assessments.
  • Understanding of renewable energy systems and the integration of sustainable technologies into energy audits.
  • Previous consultancy or energy management firm experience is advantageous.

Location: Hybrid (Office/Remote) with Travel to Client Sites

Salary: Competitive salary package, commensurate with experience
