Job Description

Senior Energy Manager Location: Blanchardstown Duration: Permanent Hours - 39 hours per week Overview of the role: The successful candidate will be involved in assisting with securing new and extended contracts and will support the delivery of the projects along with the implementation team. The role will focus on the industrial utilities sector and also the commercial, public and buildings sectors. The role will give the successful candidate exposure and experience across the divisions of energy, waste and water and interaction with suppliers, clients, institutional bodies and operations. Some international travel may also be required. Day to day of the role: Identification, analysis, design, costing and project management of energy conservation projects Performing in-depth investment grade audits, producing revenue and energy savings projection models Originating project development plans and drafting contract scopes of work for tendering exercises Defining performance specifications for equipment supplier and contractors Carrying out tender evaluations and contract negotiations Support the implementation team with the development of project schedules and budgets Support existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long term energy reductions A flexible working nature, the ability to drive to Veolia sites throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland and an excellent client-facing nature is a must. The Energy Manager will support existing and new Veolia sites with the development of monitoring and targeting systems and key performance indicators that will assist the delivery and maintenance of long term energy reductions and will also pro-actively seek to identify energy and carbon saving opportunities for Veolia and our clients. Lead projects from a technical and techno-economic (e.g. costs, savings, payback, financial model, revenue streams, Veolia and client risks etc) perspective. Manage and have direct line management responsibility for individuals and / or teams Drive innovation in project identification and delivery, and internally through systems and team performance. Required skills for this role: Degree in Engineering or Building Services, or equivalent professional experience 5 + years' experience in a similar energy role Energy system design i.e. mechanical system P&ID development and optimisation Knowledge and experience in energy auditing, energy consumption forecasting and energy modelling through life cycle and capital cost / benefits analysis. Ability to identify and quantify energy saving opportunities in the industrial and commercial sectors Excellent communication, interpersonal & organisational skills Desirable skills for this role: Industrial chiller system design IPMVP experience ISO 50001 experience Here at Veolia, we're proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
