**Senior Engineer (Drainage) Job Description**
Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is a leading Irish-owned consulting firm with expertise in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, and Renewables.
As a Senior Engineer (Drainage), you will be responsible for leading the delivery of drainage designs for infrastructure projects, including highways, active travel, greenways, renewable energy, and urban development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of drainage networks, ponds, attenuation, and SuDs
- Lead hydrological and flood risk assessments for various sites
- Working knowledge of modeling software such as Info Drainage, Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow, and/or Autodesk Storm and Sewer
- Planning and managing CAD documentation working closely with CAD Technicians
- Working closely with other Engineers, Ecologists, and Scientists within FT
- Supervising and monitoring junior staff within the Sustainable Infrastructure sector
- Preparation of technical reports, tender, and proposal documents
- Attending onsite meetings with clients and other professionals
**Requirements:**
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7 years post-graduate experience in Civil Engineering
- Chartered Engineer status or in the process of achieving Chartered status
- Experience in the design of highway drainage systems including SuDs
- Experience in Nature-Based Solutions is an advantage
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
- Working knowledge of civil design software
- Excellent communication, management, analytical, and organisational skills
- Experience working with technical specialists and engineers
- Experience working in a Consulting Engineering or similar company
- Efficient work methods, functioning both as part of a team and on own initiative
- The ability to adopt and work to new procedures and systems quickly
- Full Driver's License
